Where is the Zaar merchandise purchased?
From the inception of the business Mark has been responsible for purchasing the inventory and continues to have a hand in such. Up until 1999 we shipped 6 45' containers/year, but, in response to the economic trend we have scaled that down considerably. However, a fresh infusion of pieces is presented regularly and customers are kept abreast of such via our online newsletters.

Is there a brick and mortar store front for Antiques by Zaar?
The business was established as an online business and it is from the website that the bulk of the business is garnered. If customers choose to see the furniture first hand, visits to their warehouse in High Point, NC can be made by appointment, by contact ruth@antiquesbyzaar.com or 1-866-868-9227 and either Ruth or our local representative will be able to meet you. .

Similarly wholesale customers and designers can see a selection of their wares during the High Point Furniture Market.

Is there a catalogue available?
In lieu of a traditional paper catalogue the photos offered on the website serve as a base for an "interactive" catalogue. Simple request by phone or email will ensure you are emailed additional photos of as many pieces as you would like to see.

Note : CD's of new inventory are made available to wholesale accounts, prior to pieces being posted to the site. If you would be interested in receiving such, simply let Ruth know and your company will be put on the distribution list.

Are the prices on the website retail?

The website is set up as a retail site and all prices are shown next to each individual piece. (Shipping is calculated separately for each piece.) Designers from across the States are using the website as a source for their clients who are seeking Asian pieces. Feel free to contact Ruth for referrals and trade pricing.

Antiques by Zaar is also supplying shops with their inventory and welcome new accounts. Each order is personally handled by Ruth.

How is the furniture shipped?
Unless you have a preferred carrier we will arrange shipping. Our own preferred method to ship our antiques is a white glove, blanket wrap service. Shipping is paid up front, to Antiques by Zaar, barring you have made your own shipping arrangements.
